Glenn Smith, P.Eng., is a University of Waterloo Engineering graduate. In his role as Director, Project Management at Communitech, Glenn draws on 20+ years of experience in broad business and technology development and commercialization with two University of Waterloo spin-off companies (Advanced Scientific Computing, Biomedical Photometrics), Institute National d’Optique (INO), Ontario Centers of Excellence (OCE) and Communitech. Glenn actively advises early stage companies and social ventures around approaches to create value, generate revenue and mitigate risk. Glenn is also one of the founding partners and Board Director of Social Venture Partners Waterloo Region, and is active with a number of not-for-profit organizations.
